Monica Pilkey President, Pilkey Communications, Inc. Manager of Partner Relations MONICA PILKEY, President of Pilkey Communications, Inc. is a nationally recognized leader in distance learning, instructional technology and content distribution. Ms. Pilkey was a pioneer in the use of satellite technologies in the 1980’s and 1990’s and utilized the satellite networks she directed, SUNSTAR in the state of Florida and the Community College Satellite Network nationally, to deliver education and training for a variety of organizations. She has been on the cutting edge of employing emerging technologies to deliver educational content and has first hand experience in the use and practical applications of video streaming, video conferencing and web based learning programs. Ms. Pilkey continued to develop new avenues for distributing distance education when she launched a 24/7 television channel The Learning Studio, which broadcast foreign language classes for elementary and middle school age children, as well as GED and ESL classes for adults. In her role as President of Pilkey Communications, Inc., Ms. Pilkey continues to define strategies which merge the latest in instructional technologies and design with her client’s educational mission.
