Jill Harms Instructor, Business Communication Program Ames, Iowa Jill Harms has a Master of Arts degree in Communication with an emphasis in Organizational Communication from Michigan State University. Her collegiate teaching experience includes teaching various courses at MSU and Lansing Community College in Business Communication, Organizational Communication, Interpersonal Communication and Public Speaking. Her Masters coursework includes a variety of organizational communication courses, such as role negotiation, complex organizations, career counseling and management of organizational behavior. Jill has been the Membership Director at the YMCA of Lansing, the Business Liaison at the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce, a research analyst at InterActive Solutions, Communication Research Institute, and is an independent consultant. Jill was also the Internship Coordinator at Michigan State University for the Department of Communication. Most recently, she worked for Iowa State University, as a consultant, creating a joint internship program with the Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication and the Meredith Corporation. Jill has over 10 years of professional experience including management, research, teaching, sales, marketing, recruitment, and mentoring.
