Non-Credit Registration System (NCRS) Town Hall Meeting A Great Success

MSUglobal and Michigan State University held its first NCRS Town Hall meeting on August 13, 2009, with a live demo of the newly launched system. It was a great turnout with twenty-five individuals in attendance from various Colleges across campus.  Jerry Rhead of MSUglobal welcomed everyone, giving a brief overview and history of the system. Units that have a supporting role in the system were also in attendance, each taking a few minutes to speak on their supporting role in NCRS.  The supporting units in attendance were; Administrative Information Systems, David Sheppard representing, Distance Services Learning, Amy Blair representing and Office of the Registrar, Scott Owczarek representing. Joni Epps of MSUglobal gave a demonstration of the system and conducted a Q&A session.

MSUglobal is Making the Non-credit Education Experience, Even Easier

MSUglobal is proud to announce the new Michigan State University Non-credit Registration System (NCRS). The non-credit registration system allows users to register for non-credit related learning opportunities such as online or face-to-face courses, training sessions, seminars, and Web presentations. NCRS is an ecommerce system that allows an individual to register and pay for a non-credit course, in a one stop shopping environment. If you are an MSU student or employee, you simply enter your NetID and password. If you’re not affiliated with MSU, you can still take advantage of course offerings by creating an MSU Community ID.

Since its September 17th debut, NCRS has offered 76 non-credit courses and serviced over 1000 registrants. We have received great feedback from both MSU departments utilizing the system and registrants alike. Our friendly Client Service and Technical Service departments are always ready and willing to help with any questions you might have. Take a moment and check out the registration site.
