In the spirit of the upcoming MSUglobal 10-year Symposia, Igniting Innovation, we wanted to take the opportunity to prime you on some of our Ignite-session speakers. At MSUglobal, collaboration is at the core of everything we do, and what better way to showcase its successes than to give our collaborators the floor?
For us, perhaps the only thing that rivals collaboration in importance are resources. But what good are massive amounts of resources without ways to find them and use them? (Imagine a library with no Dewey Decimal system.) One of our Ignite-like sessions will feature Prabode Weebadde and Brian Collins from Venturit, an IT Consulting firm based in Okemos, Michigan.
They will focus on their new open source media platform, which is designed to help users easily find relevant content, work with content in nonlinear fashion and compare and contrast cases. Admins are able to upload their own multimedia content, grab content from other sites, edit videos into more manageable chunks, link content, view site analytics, and embed the platform in other platforms, such as Facebook, Angel, Plone, Moodle, and Blackboard. The media platform uses MSUglobal’s search indexing tool to retrieve and index internal and external content. Once content has been indexed it can be assigned competencies and tags. Believe us, you’re going to be using this technology sooner than later, and this is your chance to hear about it from the architects themselves.
