USAID Awards Grant to Modernize Extension in Developing Countries

From the USAID/MEAS Press Release:

The University of Illinois was selected as the lead institution to undertake the “Modernizing Extension and Advisory Systems” (MEAS) project, granted by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). This five-year project will involve a strategic analysis of the activities and investments needed to strengthen the pluralistic Extension systems in 20 of the poorest developing countries.

Michigan State University is a member of the Modernizing Extension and Advisory Systems (MEAS) consortium. MSUglobal is working with faculty in the MSU College of Agriculture and Natural Resources to support this initiative. This grant includes a pilot project in Africa for AgShare.
