Manager of Operations, Budgets and Contracts

Angela Martin is the department’s Manager of Operations and plays a supporting role to the Assistant Provost and Executive Director, Dr. Christine Geith. Her role at MSUglobal is focused around operations, contracts, and finance. She acts as the liaison and director in dealings with business, contract, and grant management. She also serves on the management team consulting budgets and departmental operations.
She received two degrees from Davenport University in Business Administration and Information Technology. She is currently attending Central Michigan University completing her Administrative Management Degree with an emphasis in Community Development. She also holds a Master Gardener Certification at MSU.
Prior to MSU, Angela worked as the Executive Assistant and Office Manager for Ersco Corporation. She acted as the Director for all business initiatives for the President, Vice President and Organizational Director, while coordinating all corporate office logistics and training for 14 branch locations. While obtaining her degrees, Angela also worked for Kempf & Yee Law Offices as a Legal Assistant and General Manager providing legal support to bankruptcy clients. She has received several awards for her outstanding leadership capabilities and active participation in her career.
Outside of work she serves as member of the MSU Master Gardener Association and leads and instructs the spring gardening workshops for the Garden Project Resource Center for Ingham County. Aside from gardening, she serves as the Chief Financial Officer of RD Welding and Fabricating and serves as the website advertising assistant for Yutzy’s Auction and Appraisal Service. She enjoys spending time with her children, home gardening, cooking, fishing and boating.
